Seared Scallops with Garlic Basil Butter



Ingredients
  • 12 large sea shells, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 pounds
  • 2 versatile teaspoons of flour, optional, see notes
  • Fresh salt and black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of oil, such as olive oil, avocado oil or grapeseed oil
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of butter
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 cup of fresh basil leaves
  • 3 to 4 lemon slices
